COURSE DESCRIPTION
Electromagnetism has many applications, including relays, electric motors, solenoids, doorbells, buzzers, computer printer mechanisms, and magnetic media “write” heads (tape recorders, disk drives). The experiments are closely related to experiments that teach about electricity, but in these activities, magnetic fields play an important role in converting electrical energy into mechanical energy or generating electric current.
